But the whole Archon end-game build is boring as fuck to me. But if you're new to the game, I'd place Wizard very high because.I mean shit, you're a fuckin Wizard casting spells all over the place. In large part because the current end-game builds (or, the last builds I played) were VERY bland and tasteless. Wizard is my most played but also ranked low right now. Which means fast leveling of gems and great item farm for your characters. Groups won't always need another DPS character, but supports? There's always space for you. The best part of having a character with a support build is you're ALWAYS in demand. Plus, Barb, Monk and WD have the luxury of having 2 very different build setups for group play and solo play so if you get tired of or bored of playing the 2 or 3 dps builds for solo climbing, you can join a group and switch to your group support build. Particularly Barb and Monk, both of which completely control the target priorities and movements of the party like quarterbacks. I prefer DPS builds in group or solo play personally so my rankings reflect that, but playing support roles in D3 is really fun and unique. My preferences (and subsequent recommendations) in order, and based on how their end-game plays after about 2,500 hours of play:
